Airphil will now have a new name, PAL EXPRESS. The change of name will officially start on March 15, 2013.
This change will bring some changes in the way Airphil do business with their customers and will upgrade their services on par with its mother company, PAL, or Philippine Airlines.
Airphil has changed its name to PAL EXPRESS
Some of the changes for Airphil to PAL Express are as follows:
- All PAL Express planes will carry the PAL logo.
- All PAL Express will be served with complimentary drinks, snacks and reading materials. Snacks are not serve for free during the Airphil days.
- Now Mabuhay Miles cardholders and members can earn Mabuhay points when they book PAL Express tickets.
Though both airline companies carry the same PAL name, they are still a separate entity and is different from one another.
All PAL planes will be serviced by its own crew, pilot and team while PAL Express’s planes will have their own set of people to handle its operations.
PAL or Philippine Airlines still maintains its booking website at http://philippineairlines.com for bookings while it still has its old hotline number at(02) 855-88-88.
PAL Express will no longer use its old booking website and will use http://flypalexpress.com as their booking website. They will have a hot line with number: (02) 855-90-00.
For those who have booked Airphil tickets in advance, you need not worry for these tickets are still valid and PAL Express will honor your tickets.
